The financial law department at DELCO is managed by professionals with a long trajectory in the field. The services lent by the department focus on three branches: banking law, project financing, and financial markets.
As part of our banking practice, we’re in capacity to lend advice to credit institutions in the obtainment of permits and licenses granted by the Banking Superintendence or the Financial Enterprises Direction of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, as well as in the compliance of their legal responsibilities regarding Panamanian laws. Our team is also well versed in representing credit institutions and debtors in several types of transactions, including commercial loans, mortgage loans, fiduciary loans, leasing and factoring, amongst others.
DELCO’s attorneys are capable of advising in project financing transactions, having led several transactions of this nature in the real estate and energy sectors.
This department also tends to issues relating to financial markets, including the processing of licenses and public listings of instruments such as bonds, preferred shares, and common shares with the Financial Markets Superintendence of Panama.
